    • Since 1993 the CPRF has been represented in the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation. The CPRF is the second largest party in the current, Sixth State Duma. It holds 92 seats out of 450.  The CPRF is represented in the legislative bodies of 79 constituent territories of the Russian Federation. 

Background 1 may The Russian Social-Democratic Workers’ Party (RSDRP) was formed at the Congress in Minsk in 1898. The Communist Party of the RSFSR within the CPSU was established in June 1990. In September 1991 the activities of the CPSU and the CP RSFSR were banned as a result of a counterrevolutionary coup.  On February 13, 1993 the Second Extraordinary Congress of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation announced the resumption of the party’s activities after a ban that lasted almost a year and a half. The Congress adopted its Political Statement and the Party Charter. In March of that year the CPRF was officially registered with the Justice Ministry of the Russian Federation. A new edition of the Programme of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation was adopted by the XIII CPRF Congress. It updates the assessment of the current situation in Russia and in the world and the tasks of the party.

From the CPRF Charter The political party “the Communist Party of the Russian Federation” was created on a voluntary basis by the citizens of the Russian Federation who have united on the basis of common interests to implement the goals of its Programme and Charter. The Communist Party of the Russian Federation is the successor to the cause of the CPSU and the CP RSFSR, being their ideological heir. The CPRF, based on creative development of Marxism-Leninism, has as its main goal the building of socialism, a society of social justice espousing the principles of collectivism, freedom and equality, it comes out for genuine rule of the people in the form of the Soviets, for the strengthening of the multinational federated state. The CPRF is a party of patriots, internationalists, a party of friendship of the peoples. The CPRF, in upholding its ideals, protects the interests of the working class, the peasantry, the intelligentsia and all the working people. The CPRF is a part of the world communist movement, cooperating and developing ties with foreign communist and workers’ parties, progressive organizations and movements. The CPRF pursues its activities in accordance with the goals of its Programme and Charter throughout the territory of the Russian Federation. Any legally capable citizen of the Russian Federation above the age of 18, recognizing and complying with the CPRF Programme and Charter, registered with and participating in the work of a primary party cell and regularly paying membership dues can be a member of the CPRF. The supreme governing body of the Party is the CPRF Congress. The permanent governing body of the Party is the Central Committee of the CPRF. The central bodies of the party are: the Central Committee of the CPRF, the Presidium of the CC CPRF and the Secretariat of the CC CPRF. The central auditing bodies of the party are the Central Control and Auditing Commission of the CPRF and the Presidium of the CCAC CPRF. The CPRF flag is a red piece of drapery. The CPRF anthem is the “Internationale”. The CPRF emblem is the sickle, the hammer and the open book symbolizing the solidarity of workers, peasants and the intelligentsia. At the base of the emblem is the acronym CPRF. On the outer rim of the emblem are the words: “RUSSIA”, “LABOUR”, “RULE OF THE PEOPLE”, “SOCIALISM”. The Party’s media outlets

  • The official printed organ of the Party is the newspaper Pravda, founded on May 5, 1912. It has 3 issues a week.

El PCFR en cifras

  • El partido cuenta, aproximadamente, con 160 mil militantes.
  • 81 comités regionales.
  • Alrededor de 14 mil organizaciones de base.
  • Desde 1993, el PCFR está representado en la Duma Estatal de la Asamblea Federal de la Federación de Rusia (Parlamento). Actualmente en la Duma Estatal de la VI Convocatoria el grupo parlamentario del PCFR es el segundo en importancia, cuenta con 92 diputados de un total de 450.
  • En los órganos legislativos de 79 unidades administrativas-territoriales de la Federación de Rusia fueron creados grupos parlamentarios del PCFR.

Sobre su historia En 1898, en el congreso celebrado en la ciudad de Minsk fue creado el Partido Obrero Social-Demócrata de Rusia (POSDR). En junio de 1990, como parte integrante del PCUS fue creado el Partido Comunista de la RSFSR. En septiembre de 1991, como resultado del golpe contrarrevolucionario, el PCUS y el PC de la RSFSR fueron ilegalizados. El 13 de febrero de 1993, el II Congreso Extraordinario del Partido Comunista de la Federación de Rusia anunció la reanudación de la actividad del partido después de un año y medio de su ilegalización. El Congreso adoptó una declaración de principios sobre el Programa, se aprobaron los nuevos Estatutos del Partido. En marzo del mismo año, el PCFR fue inscrito oficialmente en el Ministerio de Justicia de la Federación de Rusia. La nueva redacción del Programa del Partido Comunista de la Federación de Rusia fue adoptada en el ХIII Congreso PCFR. Ella precisa las evaluaciones de la situación contingente en Rusia y en el mundo y las tareas del Partido.

De los Estatutos del PCFR El partido político «Partido Comunista de la Federación de Rusia» ha sido creado de acuerdo al principio de voluntariedad, por ciudadanos de la Federación de Rusia, asociados en torno a la comunidad de intereses para lograr sus objetivos programáticos y estatutarios. El Partido Comunista de la Federación de Rusia continúa la causa del PCUS y del PC de la RSFSR siendo su sucesor ideológico. El PCFR, basándose en el desarrollo creador del marxismo-leninismo, tiene como objetivo principal la construcción del socialismo, una sociedad de justicia social sobre los principios del colectivismo, libertad, igualdad y aboga por el auténtico poder del pueblo en forma de los Soviets y el fortalecimiento del estado multinacional federativo. El PCFR es un partido de patriotas, internacionalistas, brega por la amistad de los pueblos. El PCFR, al salvaguardar sus ideales, defiende los intereses de la clase obrera, el campesinado, los intelectuales y todos los trabajadores. El PCFR es parte integrante del movimiento comunista internacional. Coopera y desarrolla relaciones con los partidos comunistas y obreros y las organizaciones y movimientos progresistas de otros países. El PCFR actúa en conformidad con los objetivos programáticos y estatutarios en todo el territorio de la Federación de Rusia. Puede ser miembro del PCFR cualquier ciudadano de la Federación de Rusia, que esté en pleno poder de sus derechos políticos y civiles, mayor de 18 años, que reconozca y cumpla el Programa y los Estatutos del PCFR, que sea adscrito al Partido y participe en las labores de una de las organizaciones de base del partido y pague regularmente las cotizaciones del partido. El órgano dirigente superior del partido es el Congreso del PCFR. El Órgano dirigente permanente es el Comité Central del PCFR. El órgano central del partido es el Comité Central del PCFR, el Presídium del CC del PCFR y el Secretariado del CC del PCFR. Los órganos centrales de control del partido son la Comisión de Revisión y Control Central (CRCC) del PCFR y el Presídium del CRCC del PCFR.

La bandera del PCFR es de color rojo.

El himno del PCFR es “La Internacional”.

El emblema del PCFR es la hoz, el martillo y el libro, relacionados en un todo único, que simbolizan la solidaridad de la clase obrera, el campesinado y los intelectuales. La base del emblema la constituye la sigla “PCFR”. En la circunferencia del emblema se hallan escritas las palabras “RUSIA”, “TRABAJO”, “PODER DEL PUEBLO”, “SOCIALISMO”.
