Dear comrades!
The Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation and all Russian communists express deep sorrow over the death of Comrade Nguyen Phu Trong, Secretary General of the CC of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
An outstanding politician and statesman of Vietnam passed away. He was highly respected by the Party members and the people of Vietnam. Many years of fruitful work for the future benefit of his socialist motherland resulted in his high authority.
A wise politician, an experienced Party and State leader and a great patriot, comrade Nguyen Phu Trong devoted his life to struggle for happiness and prosperity of the people. His name is intimately associated with outstanding socio-economic achievements placing Vietnam among the most dynamically developing economies in the world.
Russian Communists and millions of our citizens are grateful to comrade Nguyen Phu Trong for strengthening cooperation between our two countries. His personal contribution to the Vietnamese-Russian friendship is enormous. We know him as a true and reliable friend of our country since his study in the Soviet Union.
We highly appreciate comrade Nguyen Phu Trong’s affort in strengthening relations between our parties. In 2020, in commemoration of the 150th anniversary of Lenin’s birth, he was awarded Lenin Prize for scientific development of actual problems of socialism, strengthening friendly and fraternal relations between the peoples of Vietnam and Russia and great personal contribution in building the socialist society. The award was given on behalf of the CPRF CC.
We express our sincere condolences to the family of comrade Nguyen Phu Trong, his friends and associates and all citizens of Vietnam.
We will always keep in our hearts the bright memory of Comrade Nguyen Phu Trong, an indomitable fighter for socialism, a true communist and our big friend.
