On November 7th, 2017 in New York at the Center for Worker Education a conference was held on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Russian revolution on the initiative «1917 Centenary Committee» with the support of «Workers and Society» journal.
We publish the video message of Dr Tetekin, which was sent to the participants of this event:
«Dear Comrades and Friends!
My name is Vyacheslav Tetekin. I am a member of the Central Committee of the Russian Communist Party and Chief Political Advisor to Comrade Zyuganov – the Party Chairman.
We are glad that the 100th anniversary of Great October Socialist Revolution is celebrated in the United States of America.
Your meeting is an important evidence that there are two Americas – one of Donald Trump and the real America of millions of hard working people.
These millions whom you represent definitely support the noble ideals of that October Revolution.
These ideals of peace and social justice, security and prosperity for all, asses to free education and medical care, cheap housing and zero unemployment materialized in the Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics.
Despite desperate cries of foolish bourgeois academics about the end of history Socialism continues of spread all over the world. The barbaric nature of global imperialism makes people on all the continents to look for alternatives. And the great socio-economic successes of Communist China, Vietnam, Cuba, Laos create this powerful alternative.
We in Russia keep high the Red Banner of the Revolution. Capitalism in Russia is a dismal failure. Millions of people now compare what they had in the Soviet Union and what they have now. And they increasingly reject Capitalism.
The Communist Party of Russia despite intimidation, slander campaigns, vote manipulation confidently retains leading place in the balance of political forces in Russia.
Now as we are celebrating the 100the anniversary of the Great October Socialist Revolution let me assure you, dear comrades, that the revolutionary spirit in our country is not a thing of the past. The Russian working class will not tolerate the oligarchic regime forever.
The future of mankind is Socialism!
