The Murder of Colonel Qaddafi – the next crime of the Western imperialism

Statement of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation
Foul murder of the legitimate head of the Libyan government of Colonel Muammar Gaddafi shook the whole world. This crime brings us back to the dark days of colonialism of the nineteenth century, when European invaders ruthlessly dealt with the leaders of the rebellious people.

Assassination of Colonel Gaddafi continued the chain murders of leaders of sovereign states, “guilty” only of fulfilling their constitutional duty to protect the sovereignty of their countries. But if President Slobodan Milosevic and Saddam Hussein were at least put on dummy pro-NATO tribunals, Muammar Gaddafi was shot dead by NATO mercenaries without any charge or trial.
The death of Gaddafi is a symbol of a monstrous massacre arranged by NATO in Libya. NATO’s operation supposedly planned to protect the civilian population, in fact, led to the deaths of dozens of thousands of Libyans to the enormous wave of refugees, to barbarous destruction of the recently prosperous cities. The unique for Africa a national social security system was destroyed in Libya. But the beginning of a “new era” for Libya, predicted by the Western “democrats” can turn into chaos and tribal showdowns.
That is the true face of “civilizing” mission of the European Union and its “peace” wing – NATO military block.
The EU and NATO didn’t have the slightest right to interfere into the internal affairs of Libya. But they arrogantly trampled all the rules of international law. From now on, no country, not a member of the alliance, can feel safe. Because NATO through its new global concept can always find a pretext for intervention. As it already happened to Yugoslavia, Afghanistan, Iraq, and now with Libya.
The Communist Party of the Russian Federation condemns the massacre of the legitimate head of the Libyan state Colonel Muammar Gaddafi and insists on conducting an international investigation of the circumstances of his death.
We again demand that the Russian government should take the most energetic measures to stop ‘Serdyukov’s “destructive reforms of the Army and restore combat effectiveness of the Armed Forces. Our country has certainly been listed among the future victims of the global oligarchy. We can meet the same fate as Libya if no effective measures are taken to restore Russia’s defense capability.
